Here is a simple, step-by-step guide on how you can pay your GMC property tax online using UPI, debit card, or net banking, and download your official receipt.

To pay your property tax online, keep these details ready:

  • Holding Number: The unique registration number of your house/property.
  • Assessment ID: The identification number printed on your old property tax bills.

Steps to Pay GMC Property Tax Online

  1. First, open your browser and visit the official GMC portal: https://gmc.assam.gov.in or go directly to the tax portal at https://gmcpropertytax.com.
  2. On the home page, click on the "Pay Property Tax Online" option.
  3. You will see a box to search your property. Enter your Holding Number or New Assessment ID.
  4. Click on the Search button.
  5. Your property details, owner name, address, and total pending tax dues for the quarters will appear on your screen. Verify these details carefully.
  6. Click on the "Pay Now" button.
  7. Select your payment method (UPI, Debit/Credit Card, or Net Banking) and complete the transaction securely.
  8. After successful payment, the system will generate a tax receipt. Click on Download Receipt to save it as a PDF.
