Do you need to pay your land revenue online but do not know your Dag Number or Patta Number? Don't worry! If you do not have your land papers nearby, the Dharitree portal of Assam allows you to search and find these numbers online just by using the Owner's Name (Pattadar Name).
Here is a simple step-by-step guide showing you how to perform this search on your mobile phone.
Before You Search
To perform a name-based search, you must know the exact spelling of the owner's name as recorded in the land registration deed. In some cases, you may need to enter the name in the local Assamese script if the English search does not show results.
Steps to Search Dag/Patta Number by Name
- First, open your browser and visit the Dharitree portal: https://revenueassam.nic.in/dhar/.
- Enter the Captcha code displayed on the screen and click Proceed.
- Select your location details: Choose your District, Circle, and Village/Mouza name.
- Once the village records load, you will see three search options. Choose the third option: "Search by Pattadar Name".
- In the search box, type the owner's name. (If you cannot type in Assamese, you can copy the name from a translation tool or use the on-screen virtual keyboard).
- Enter the Captcha code again and click on Search.
- A list of matching owners in that village will appear on the screen. Locate your name and click on it.
- The system will display all details, including the Dag Number, Patta Number, and land share associated with that name.
Write down these numbers or take a screenshot so you can easily complete your e-Khajana payment. That's it!
